Summers at Howard Creek

Gloria spends the carefree days of summer with
her loved ones, surrounded by a lush, natural
landscape. She spends much of her time with her
grandfather on the nearby rivers and streams,
catching fish and exploring the wildlife from an
old wooden boat.

Gloria is initially afraid of the shadows cast by the
last rays of daylight on the sand and shell-covered
roads and the strands of Spanish moss that hang
like gray beards from the limbs of cypress trees.
As time passes by, however, Gloria learns to
respect the forest and the river, with all their
mysteries.
