This book represents a collaboration effort started by Alma Victoria Davies Lusk in 1938. Samuel Stowell Lusk got the idea to update his
grandmother's account in 1978 while visiting her in the Black Hills of the South Dekota. After hos untimely death, his cousin, William Charles
Lusk Inherited the manuscript and continued the project.
Many Lusk family members have contributed to this effort relaying not just their genealogy, which goes back to the earliest settlers in this
country, but also added personal stories indelibly linking them to a place in American history.
The author's hope is that future descendants will be interested in "from whence we came" to continue on with this effort as a member of the
Lusk clan.
