Abide

Description

Advent is a beautiful season of the year to reconnect with

friends and family- but it’s also a beautiful season to reconnect

with the Savior, the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ and enjoy

all the treasures He provides. It’s a season of preparation and

celebration. It’s a season of remembering and meditating on all

His redemption, grace, and mercy. It’s a season of learning to

abide in Him and of meditating on the peace, love, joy, and

hope that Jesus brings to the world. Advent gives us a chance

to celebrate the coming of Jesus- both at His birth and at His

return.

The devotions in this book will encourage us to abide fully in

His presence as we await His second Advent. Right now, He

tarries. But one day, we will hear the trumpet blast announcing

His return, we will hear His voice calling us home. For now, we

abide as His people in a world that works hard to pull us away

from Him. Let’s cling all the harder to Him as His return draws

ever closer.
