“Hickory Flats – The Funny Pages” is a throwback to the nostalgic age of simple, rural humor as seen through the eyes of Lil Buddy and various other characters. One such character is a rooster named Jubie who has set up a road side business aimed at teaching the local wildlife how to cross the road without being flattened! Hickory Flats is written and drawn with heavy influences from the masters of the daily newspaper cartoon strips – Schultz, Ketcham and Watterson. Hickory Flats continues the tradition of good ole wholesome, introspective insights and humor that are meant to highlight the lighter side of life.
