This is the story of a fairy named Kitchy and her friend Little Dove, a young Native American girl. When Little Dove saw her in the creek, Kitchy was afraid, because fairies are not supposed to talk to humans. But she was lost, and Little Dove promised to help her get home. They agreed to keep their friendship a secret, and Little Dove takes Kitchy home with her for the night. Their secret is soon discovered by Grandfather, but he agrees to help. The next day Kitchy, Little Dove and her Grandfather set out for an adventure deep in the woods to take Kitchy home to the Fairy Kingdom.
It was Donna’s wish that all proceeds from the sale of “Little Dove and Kitchy” be donated to the Sautee Nacoochee Cultural Center, where Donna often participated both as performer and later as directing assistant. The Center, established in 1981, has been invaluable to the community by enhancing and cultivating the creative arts.
