There’s a lot I still struggle with in my life, about what the future holds for me. But I do know that I have to face my challenges and told me to do the best that I can at what is put before me. My mother, Brenda, has always told me to keep my head held high and to use my voice as much as possible. They helped me to see the value of the stories and illustrations that I am sharing in this book. This book helps to highlight some of the social issues going on in America and the importance of how people are treated. We as a people have to treat each other with kindness and respect, as we all expect to be treated.
