Melvin Ricks, a former attorney from Atlanta, has written a thought provoking collection of poems and essays that will take readers on a journey through the rollercoaster challenges of mental illness and what it takes to cope from day to day in his effort to stay “happy and sane” in a world where mental health issues are still misunderstood.  The book also addresses Mr. Ricks’ personal views on religion and spirituality and his belief that God didn’t just create the world but instead God “became” the world. That God is everything and everything is God.
