This book is the history and partial lineage of Charley Millender who was born into slavery in Monroe County, Alabama and is said to have lived 105 plus years. He never learned to read or write, nor could most of his children. The children migrated all over the country and became disconnected for generations. This book is an attempt to connect this family and to answer the questions that young and old are asking about their family heritage.
