The Outcrier

The Outcrier revolves around the Newman family and the marriage of their son to the daughter of the Lang family. Tom Newman is a narcissistic, controlling man whose only true concern is his own personal gratification. A man with closely held secrets and disturbing motivations, he needs to disrupt and destroy all the Lang family relationships.

He sets out to target Mindy Lang. Through the words of an innocent child Mindy discovers the malicious lies spread by Tom and is deeply angered and resents having her personal character and standing in the Lang family diminished. Mindy decides she has to intervene; and discovers she has to continuously play catch up in order to figure out what Tom is doing and why.

Mindy’s keen observations and her relentless effort to stop Tom from tearing apart her family, and his obsession with the child, gives the reader a unique insight into how a narcissist really operates. Played out over several years, this story delivers with fascinating reactions and interactions from family members to the problems that Tom initiates.
