Description
Bella wakes up in the forest, not knowing how she got there. Her nose picks up the scent of wet feathers as a duck emerges from the water. After telling her his name, he asks her, “What do they call you?”
“My name is Three.”
“Oh no, no, no, that is a number not a name.”
Francois the duck circles three times, stands on one foot and his face brightens. “Your name shall be Bella, it’s a noble and charming name which you are but I can tell by your face, you are lost.”
As the two are talking, a fox runs by and Francois calls out. The fox, who only speaks in rhyme, and Francois agree to help Bella find her home. Along the way, they meet a baby moose called Calf Calf, a valley-girl badger, a hawk and its baby, a boy in a muffler-less car, an aristocratic-sounding beaver and a strawberry-stealing squirrel.
With the help of her newfound friends, will Bella find her home?
